You all know I was in a band. The Bees Knees could have been contenders!!! But I gave it all up for a job. One that seen me ok but who knows what could have been. Kids, follow every dream (more of that later)
But my short lived music career gave me an appreciation of bands. From The Who to Lindisfarne. From The Faces to Fairport.
But the masters will always be Tull….Jethro Tull, simply the finest bunch of gentlemen to ever pick up and play in the entire history of the world. They feature heavily on other parts of this site. Indeed, my header is the title of one of my favorite Tull songs.
So many memories come flooding back. Working the Greyhound with Phil, seeing Bowie before he made it, Roxy Music when they were a support band. The final Faces gig at The Rainbow. Crashing the Stones gig with Chris and Johnny and pretending we were staff. I wonder if I will get to play with Hendrix now I’m gone???
