was dreamt up by Founder Nick Annetts.
After living and working in a number of different countries, Nick made many good friends who he kept in touch with by email. After being in a location where a bomb went off and caused fatalities, Nick realised that if something had happened to him, many of his good friends around the world would never know, because nobody else had their contact details. He also realised there were many, many things he wanted to say, and pass on.
So farawayfish.com was born.
A team was put together, to develop the idea. Our goal was to make the most functional, secure, and upbeat site about dying, there is on the web. Aimed at normal people, who loved life, and wanted to pass a bit of theirs on. And after a year and a half of blood, sweat, tears, and a few shouts, we think that is what we have delivered.
There's a whole team behind farawayfish.com, but here's a bit about the core people:
Nick has over 17 years marketing experience in the web and telecoms sectors. He has been involved in the set up and launch of a number of online and mobile based businesses both in the UK and internationally. Nick has worked extensively for Richard Branson's Virgin Group, from which he brings a strong commitment to consumer fairness and service excellence.
Nick likes to think he has some real pearls of wisdom to leave behind, as well as some pretty good jokes, that should be passed on to the next generation.
Paul has extensive experience in developing and building award winning websites - he has worked on www.uswitch.co.uk, the award winning UK based, consumer choice site, as well as a variety of best in class creative industry and automotive industry sites.
Paul has a lot to say, and most would be best said dead!!!
Guy has been in the creative business for over 25 years, he's worked for the biggest and the best. Peddling his skills in, London, New York, Sydney and Asia, with top agencies like of JWT, and Lowe Lintas. Guy immediately saw the potential in farawayfish.com, knowing that everybody has a little bit of creativity and wisdom to leave to the world.
Guy is a perfectionist when it comes to creativity, and will probably leave his best work right to the last, and beyond.
farawayfish.com is owned by Aroy Ltd, a UK registered company It utilises state of the art technical facilities based out of London, UK to maximize security and service delivery.
